About the Friends With Dignity Christmas Drive
For families rebuilding their lives after domestic and family violence, Christmas can look very different.
A simple gift can bring a moment of joy, dignity and normality to a child or adult during an incredibly difficult time.
Through the Friends with Dignity Christmas Drive, your generosity helps make sure families supported by our programs feel remembered and cared for this Christmas.

DONATING IS EASY
Making a difference this Christmas is as simple as choosing a gift. Drop off new, unwrapped gifts at one of our participating collection points. Donations to the Friends With Dignity Christmas Drive will be collected by our incredible volunteers, sorted with care and distributed through services supporting families impacted by domestic and family violence. Every gift helps bring a little joy, dignity and hope to someone this Christmas.
How it Works

How can I donate to the Christmas Drive?
You can donate new, unwrapped gifts at one of our official drop off points, purchase a gift online, or make a financial donation. Every contribution helps bring a little Christmas joy to individuals and families impacted by domestic violence
What gifts are most needed?
We welcome new, unwrapped toys and gifts for all ages, gift vouchers, non-perishable festive food, new toiletries and personal care items.
Do gifts need to be new?
Yes, please. All donated gifts must be new and in their original packaging. We’re unable to accept used or second-hand items.
Should I wrap my gifts?
No, please leave all gifts unwrapped. This helps our volunteers sort and distribute gifts appropriately.
Where is my nearest collection point?
When do donations need to be dropped off by?
All Christmas Drive donations need to be dropped off at one of our drop off points by 4 December 2026.
Can I donate online instead?
Absolutely! If you can’t make it to a collection point, you can purchase a gift online or make a financial donation. Donate online here.
Who receives the Christmas gifts?
Gifts are distributed to individuals and families impacted by domestic violence, helping bring a little joy and dignity to those rebuilding their lives.
Can businesses, workplaces or community groups get involved?
Absolutely! Businesses, workplaces and community groups can get involved by collecting gifts and helping us spread the Christmas joy.

Yes! We have official collection point opportunities available in selected areas.

What is Sponsor a Sleigh?
Sponsor a Sleigh gives businesses and supporters another way to help this Christmas by contributing towards the essential transport and logistics costs of our Christmas Drive, helping us get donated gifts where they need to go. View Sponsor a SleighÂ
Can I donate money instead of a gift?
Absolutely! Financial donations help us support the Christmas Drive and ensure gifts reach individuals and families impacted by domestic and family violence. Donate online here.
Can I receive a tax-deductible receipt
Yes. Email your proof of purchase to accounts@friendswithdignity.org.au and our team can assist with a receipt.
